Is it really that laughable to take a stand and try to live up to the oath you've taken?

Update on the Conservative Collie. He was at the vet today and it would seem that he has not torn his cruciate ligament (great news), he has also not broken his foot (confirmed by x-rays) but that does seem to be the seat of the problem.
He is on antibiotics, pain meds and lots of love.
Should be back delivering his conservative commentary really soon!
